Privacy Policy
Last updated October 13, 2026
What-If for Sheets ("the add-on") is a Google Sheets add-on for data tables, goal seek, scenarios and simulation. This policy explains what data it accesses and what it does with it.
Data the add-on accesses
- The spreadsheet you use it in (
spreadsheets.currentonly): it temporarily changes the input cells you choose, reads the result cells you choose, puts your inputs back, and writes results to a new sheet or a cell you pick. It can access only the spreadsheet where you use it. - Sidebar (
script.container.ui): shows the add-on's panel inside Google Sheets. - License check (
script.external_request): if you enter a Pro license key, the add-on sends that key to Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider, to confirm it is valid (about once a week). Only the key is sent, never spreadsheet data. The key is stored in your own Google account's add-on settings.
Your setup and saved scenarios are stored inside the same spreadsheet as document properties.
What we do not do
- No spreadsheet data is sent to any server operated by us. All work runs in Google Apps Script and in your browser.
- We do not collect, store, sell or share spreadsheet content. If you buy Pro, Lemon Squeezy processes your payment and email under its own privacy policy.
- We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Google API Services
The add-on's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. It runs on Google Apps Script and is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Removing data
Delete saved scenarios from the Scenarios tab. Uninstalling the add-on from Extensions → Add-ons → Manage add-ons removes its access.
