Privacy Policy

Optimize for Sheets ("the add-on") is a Google Sheets add-on that solves optimization models built in a spreadsheet. This policy explains what data the add-on accesses and what it does with it.
Data the add-on accesses
- The spreadsheet you open it in. When you press Solve, the add-on reads the values and formulas of the cells and sheets your model refers to, and writes the solution into the variable cells you selected. It requests only the
spreadsheets.currentonlypermission, so it can access only the spreadsheet where you use it, and only while you use it. - Your model setup. The objective cell, variable cells and constraints you enter are saved inside the same spreadsheet (as document properties) so they are there next time you open it.
- License check (
script.external_request): if you enter a Pro license key, the add-on sends that key to Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider, to confirm it is valid (about once a week). Only the key is sent, never spreadsheet data. The key is stored in your own Google account's add-on settings.
What we do not do
- Your spreadsheet data is not sent to any server operated by us. Reading the model and solving it happen in Google Apps Script and in your browser.
- We do not collect, store, sell or share spreadsheet content. If you buy Pro, Lemon Squeezy processes your payment and email under its own privacy policy.
- We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Third-party services
The add-on runs on Google Apps Script and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. The optimization engine (HiGHS, open source) is loaded into your browser from the jsDelivr content delivery network; as with any web request, jsDelivr receives standard request information such as your IP address. No spreadsheet data is included in that request.
Google API Services
The add-on's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing data
Pressing Reset in the add-on deletes the saved model setup from the spreadsheet. Uninstalling the add-on from Extensions → Add-ons → Manage add-ons removes its access.
